Glucose ketone index calculator
Turn two blood readings into a glucose-to-ketone ratio. Switch glucose units without re-entering your reading.
90 ÷ 18 ÷ 1.5 = 3.33
Use blood readings taken at the same time. A breath or urine ketone reading is not interchangeable with a blood reading. This ratio does not diagnose a condition or recommend treatment.
How GKI is calculated
GKI is blood glucose in mmol/L divided by blood ketones in mmol/L. For glucose measured in mg/dL, divide by 18 first. For example, 90 mg/dL glucose and 1.5 mmol/L ketones give a GKI of approximately 3.33.
What the number can tell you
This tool only calculates a ratio. Readings can vary with timing, meals and activity. The result does not determine whether a diet or medical treatment is appropriate. Discuss therapeutic targets with your clinician.

Does this store readings?
No. The calculation runs in your browser and this tool does not save your readings.
